Abstract

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) arise from pancreatic endocrine cells and comprise 3-5% of pancreatic cancers. There are updates in the diagnosis, including histopathological analysis, biomarkers, imaging, and endoscopy. Validated diagnostic tools should be optimized and future tools envisioned.
