ABSTRACT Tourism companies sell experiences and sometimes exclusivity. For this, it is necessary to have human capital that relies on the product and service - often intangible - that it offers. The main objective of the research is to recognize the knowledge and training of emotional Intelligence by future tourism professionals as essential, due to the level of demand and the largest and most competitive offer. The methodology carried out is based on an initial exploratory and bibliographic research and, subsequently, an investigation of a descriptive nature. One conclusion to highlight is that university policy, through teaching guides, must be able to adapt to the social needs that they demand an academic curriculum that includes Emotional Intelligence for students to complete their academic training.  ER -
