La investigación pregunta si los niveles de fuerza aumentan o a disminuyen en función de la incertidumbre o riesgo físico que enfrenta el funcionario en una situación determinada o pueden estar condicionados por una percepción de vulnerabilidad del funcionario ante otros factores externos a la escena de control por medio del uso progresivo y diferenciado de la fuerza. Se utilizó un cuestionario de análisis actitudinal (Lickert) sobre una muestra probabilística y chi2. El análisis revela que la preferencia por el incremento de la fuerza varía en proporción inversa a la potencialidad del medio empleado para resistir o atacar, como una medida para anticipar la resolución efectiva del evento. Sin embargo, la continuación de esta línea de trabajo requiere la ampliación de la metodología y de los grupos policiales analizados a favor de pruebas de mayor calidad cualitativa y situacional.</p><p> </p><p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong><strong></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The objective of the study was to determine the Venezuelan Police attitudinal perceptions of the training, specifically on the Progressive Use and Differentiated Force (UPDF, in Spanish), in the context of the New Police Model. The link between the levels of threat and risk and the levels of use of force was also studied. The research asks if the levels of force increase or decrease depend on the uncertainty or physical risk faced by the official in a given situation or by the perception of vulnerability of the official to other factors, external to the control scene. An attitudinal analysis questionnaire (Lickert) was used on a probabilistic sample and Ji2. The analysis reveals that the preference for the increase of force varies in inverse proportion to the potentiality of the means used to resist or attack, as to measure to anticipate the effective resolution of the event. However, the continuation of this line of work requires the expansion of the methodology and of the police groups analyzed towards higher qualitative and situational quality tests.</p&gt;}, journal={Utopía y Praxis Latinoamericana}, author={GABALDÓN, Luis Gerardo}, year={2019}, month={sep.}, pages={270-282} }
