The main objective of this research was to propose a CNC numerical control prototype with lowcost real-time control for the production of products from wood. The study delimitation was addressed for simple geometry products in two planes and for domestic applications. It was theoretically supported by Courier (1998) and Craig (1989) The methodology used in the research was non-experimental projective, field design, transactional. The research consisted of five (5) phases. They ranged from the characterization of the manufacturing process of the CNC prototype for wood handling and processing, to the start-up of the machine. The results show the development of the low-cost machine using recycling materials and elements whose operation and connection is easy to handle by any operator, so the CNC is suitable for the function it will perform.
