La investigación utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental – transversal; el alcance de la investigación fue descriptivo, se utilizó un muestreo aleatorio simple con una muestra constituida por 248 estudiantes. Se identificó que los factores que afectan la resolución de conflictos están relacionados con el contexto social y económico, mientras los que favorecen este proceso son las estrategias utilizadas y la participación de la comunidad, además, se determinó que los roles que cumplen los responsables de conducir los procesos de resolución de conflictos están vinculados con las competencias que poseen; y deben estar orientados a dar respuestas proactivas a las quejas o malestares de los estudiantes y padres de familia, y promover el desarrollo de habilidades sociales; finalmente se definió que las conductas conflictivas más frecuentes son las indisciplinadas. Concluyendo, que las percepciones que tienen los estudiantes sobre el proceso de resolución de conflictos están directamente vinculadas con la convivencia de los miembros de comunidad, la realidad situacional y características socio económicas de la institución educativa.</p><p><strong>ABSTRACT </strong></p><p>The objective of this study is to analyze the perceptions that students have about the conflict resolution process in medium-level educational institutions. The research used a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental - transversal design; the scope of the research was descriptive, a simple random sampling was used with a sample made up of 248 students. It was identified that the factors that affect conflict resolution are related to the social and economic context, while those that favor this process are the strategies used and the participation of the community, in addition, it was determined that the roles played by those responsible for conducting the conflict resolution processes are linked to the skills they possess; and they must be oriented to give proactive responses to complaints or discomforts of students and parents, and promote the development of social skills; finally it was defined that the most frequent conflictive behaviors are undisciplined. In conclusion, the students’ perceptions of the conflict resolution process are directly related to the coexistence of community members, the situational reality and socio-economic characteristics of the educational institution.</p&gt;}, number={1}, journal={REDIELUZ}, author={Obaco, Edgar and Silva, Julio}, year={2020}, month={ago.}, pages={100-110} }
