La misma esta soportado teóricamente por Shigley (2008) Murty (2003) y Cowin (1989). Para llevar a cabo el diseño mecánico fue evaluado un sistema de interacción, definido por el dispositivo de fijación externa sostenible desarrollado de manera artesanal con materiales de reciclaje, accesibles en el mercado y de fácil manipulación para los médicos cirujanos de mano. El mismo contiene clavos roscados de Schanz y barras de aluminio, para el cual se aplicaron las condiciones de carga directamente al segundo metacarpiano, restringiendo el desplazamiento al tercio medio con distal del radio. La distribución de esfuerzos en diversas condiciones de cargas (tales como tracción, compresión, flexión y torsión), fueron simulados utilizando el Método de Elementos Finitos (MEF) a través de herramientas computacionales que simularon el comportamiento mecánico del dispositivo. Los resultados obtenidos a partir del modelo analizado, muestran que para la configuración del fija externo, la mayor concentración de esfuerzos para cargas a tracción, compresión y flexión se produce en las barras basándolo con materiales livianos de manera que el paciente pueda tener el menor peso en la muñeca por lo que el aluminio T6-7075 fue el material más adecuado para el diseño arrojando un factor de seguridad de 13.59, lo cual está muy por encima de 1.5 lo cual es lo permitido para este material teniendo como conclusión que cualquier aluminio comercial por debajo de esta característica del T6-7075 es factible para la construcción del dispositivo obteniendo así seguridad mecánica para la aplicación en la cirugía de la mano convencional.</p><p><strong>ABSTRACT </strong></p><p>The following research aims to analyze the biomechanics in terms of mechanics of solids and materials of an external fixator for wrist. It is theoretically supported by Shigley (2008) Murty (2003) and Cowin (1989). To carry out the mechanical design, an interaction system was defined, defined by the sustainable external fixation device developed in an artisan way with recycling materials, accessible in the market and easy to manipulate for hand surgeons. It contains Schanz threaded nails and aluminum bars, for which the load conditions were applied directly to the second metacarpal, restricting the displacement to the middle third with the distal radius. The stress distribution under various load conditions (such as traction, compression, flexion and torsion), were simulated using the Finite Element Method (MEF) through computational tools that simulated the mechanical behavior of the device.
