Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptiva-correlacional, prospectiva y transversal, con un diseño experimental y subtipo cuasiexperimento. La muestra estuvo conformada por 90 pacientes.: Grupo 1: 30 adolescentes no embarazadas, Grupo 2: 30 adolescentes en el primer trimestre del embarazo y el Grupo 3: 30 adolescentes en el segundo trimestre del embarazo. Se determinaron el peso, talla e índice de masa corporal, además la albumina, globulina y relación albumina/ globulina. Resultados: los tres grupos tuvieron resultados de laboratorios dentro de límites normales; antropométricamente, el primero con un 36,67% en bajo peso. Las embarazadas del primer trimestre, 60% como normal y en el segundo trimestre de embarazo, utilizando antropometría ajustada, presentó categoría de enflaquecida en su mayoría (60%), a pesar de que estas últimas mostraron un índice de masa corporal normal, además se encontró que el riesgo de tener enflaquecimiento es 2,25 veces mayor en adolescentes embarazadas durante el segundo trimestre, comparadas con las adolescentes no embarazadas. Conclusiones: se debe utilizar en las pacientes adolescentes embarazadas la antropometría ajustada, junto a los parámetros bioquímicos para determinar la necesidad de atención nutricional.</p><p><strong>ABSTRACT </strong></p><p>Objective: To evaluate the nutritional status of pregnant adolescents based on biochemical parameters and adjusted anthropometry. Materials and Methods: A descriptive-correlational, prospective and transversal research was carried out, with an experimental design and a quasi-experimental subtype. The sample consisted of 90 patients: Group 1: 30 non-pregnant adolescents, Group 2: 30 adolescents in the first trimester of pregnancy and Group 3: 30 adolescents in the second trimester of pregnancy. Weight, height and body mass index were determined, as well as albumin, globulin and albumin / globulin ratio. Results: the three groups had laboratory results within normal limits; anthropometrically, the first with 36.67% in low weight. The pregnant women of the first trimester, 60% as normal and in the second trimester of pregnancy, using adjusted anthropometry, presented the category of the most debilitated (60%), although the latter showed a normal body mass index, in addition found that the risk of having weakness is 2.25 times higher in pregnant adolescents during the second trimester, compared with non-pregnant adolescents.
